Electric Slab Sawing

Electric Slab Sawing

Electric slab sawing is a concrete cutting method that uses an electrically powered, walk-behind saw equipped with a diamond blade to cut horizontal surfaces such as concrete floors, slabs, and pavement with precision and control. This method produces smooth, straight cuts with minimal vibration and no exhaust fumes, making it ideal for indoor environments, occupied buildings, and areas with limited ventilation.

common Electric Slab sawing applications

Selective Slab Removal

  • Removing damaged or deteriorated concrete sections

  • Isolating specific areas for repair or replacement

  • Producing clean edges for proper patching and doweling

Trenching for Utilities

  • Cutting precise trenches for plumbing, electrical, and data lines

  • Allowing accurate depth and width control in interior slabs

  • Minimizing disruption to surrounding floors and finishes

Expansion and Control Joints

  • Installing new expansion or control joints in concrete slabs

  • Preventing random cracking by guiding concrete movement

  • Achieving straight, uniform joint lines for long-term performance

Structural and Access Openings

  • Creating openings for stairwells, elevators, and equipment pads

  • Modifying slabs for building renovations or layout changes

  • Enabling safe, controlled removal with minimal vibration and noise
